Banksy is an anonymous street artist born and raised in Bristol, England. Born in 1974, his father worked in a photocopier business. For a bit of his childhood, he worked as a butcher. In the eighties, he became involved in street art. He painted his modern art pieces in the nineties using stencils, which were used in creating some of his most famous works. By 2005, Banksy became a household name. 

Banksy was truly an underdog. At first he created graffiti that not many people saw, which led to the exposure and his leap to fame with works like Love is in the Air and Balloon Girl. But to this day, people continuously ask the question, “Is Banksy a genius, or vandal?”
